The evening was a true celebration of music\u2014filled with emotion, masterful interpretations, and musical references to history. Performing for the audience were outstanding musicians: pianist <strong>Pawe\u0142 Kowalski<\/strong> and the <strong>Prima Vista String Quartet<\/strong>. This time, the music resonated within historic interiors, which perfectly emphasized the significance of the event and provided ideal acoustic conditions for the classical repertoire.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The program of the concert\u2019s first part was dedicated to W\u0142adys\u0142aw Szpilman, an eminent pianist and composer, on the occasion of the upcoming 25th anniversary of his death. Pawe\u0142 Kowalski, performing a solo recital, paid tribute to the artist whose life story inspired Roman Pola\u0144ski\u2019s acclaimed film <em>The Pianist<\/em>. The repertoire included works by Fryderyk Chopin that appear in the film and which Szpilman himself played during the dramatic moments of his life. The audience heard: <em>Andante spianato<\/em>, <em>Nocturne in C-sharp minor Lento con gran espressione<\/em>, <em>Ballade in G minor<\/em>, <em>Op. 23<\/em>, and <em>Grande Polonaise Brillante in E-flat major<\/em>, <em>Op. 22<\/em>. The ensemble is renowned for its refined and stylistically nuanced interpretations of chamber music. Together with Pawe\u0142 Kowalski, they performed 19th-century classical works, including Juliusz Zar\u0119bski\u2019s <em>Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 34<\/em> in four movements (<em>Allegro<\/em>, <em>Adagio<\/em>, <em>Scherzo<\/em>. <em>Presto<\/em>, <em>Finale<\/em>. <em>Presto<\/em>) and <em>Larghetto<\/em> from Chopin\u2019s <em>Piano Concerto in F minor<\/em>. Their performance was exquisitely balanced\u2014full of emotion, subtlety, and harmonious artistic dialogue. The event in Brwin\u00f3w demonstrated that even the most sophisticated classical music can find its place beyond grand concert halls\u2014and can be experienced together: locally, intimately, and authentically. The audience that gathered at the Palace of Culture welcomed the artists with enthusiasm and emotion.
